Create-A-Song Body Percussion Activity

Goal: To improve direction following, sequencing, and attention. This activity may have many therapeutic uses!

Description: This packet includes body percussion visuals and two "songboards", for simple and compound meter. To create a song using body percussion, utilize the "songboards" to create a rhythm sequence with the client(s). The client(s) can create a rhythm by: (A) randomly picking a body percussion visual card while the card is facing down, (B) assigning each body percussion sound a number, 1 through 4, and pick a number at random using a random number generator, (C) shuffling the body percussion visual cards, place them face down and follow the order of cards as they are picked up, or (D) purposefully placing each card in a specific spot.
